IE can go die.

December 20th, 2007 by admin

I’ve been fussing with an IE6 stylesheet for most of the afternoon and have encountered NOTHING but problems for all that I’m attempting to fix fairly minor issues. Figures that the blog page which took me so long to fix should be the one that breaks the worst. I’m tired of doing things that don’t work over and over and over again, I’m sick of sitting in this chair, and I am NEVER doing anything remotely like this again. Ever.

Success!

I think I may actually have beaten this theme into semi-submision. At any rate, it doesn’t fall totally apart and I don’t think there’s anything I need to add–and even if there was, I’m not certain I’d keep dinking with it now that I’ve gotten it to obey my commands.

Firebug now rules my world. *throws confetti*

This isn’t going well.

Am somehow managing to make a complete scramble of this very page. No, wait, scratch that….it’s not “somehow” it’s “not surprisingly.” I wish it wasn’t all tied together in pieces and parts…..I can’t see where one div ends and another begins, so things aren’t opening and closing properly. Some of the divs are ones I didn’t put there, with instructions that just boggle my mind. And I don’t want to switch them out because I’m afraid I’ll just scramble everything even more and then be unable to reproduce the original. Damn it.

Just a little thereputic rant….I’m gonna go pound on the css some more. *sigh*

Slightly Less Annoying Title

I’m changing this mostly because I was tired of looking at it. It’s a good way to set up a decent block of text to better view the horribly twisted and broken changes I’m making to the layout. I sort of wish that with all of the amazing seemingly idiot-proof functions this wordpress thingie has that there was a magic “fix what the idiot user broke” button that would make my setup less full of fail.  :D
